Hello! My name is Cristal Briskey and I am honored to be the Principal at Hartland Farms Intermediate School.
As a child, I attended Village Elementary School beginning in 2nd grade and graduated from Hartland High School in 1999. In 2005, I began my career at Hartland Round Elementary School teaching in a resource classroom for students who struggled in reading, writing, and math. In 2006, I transferred to the Farms Intermediate School to teach the extended resource program and moved on to a resource room teacher and Instructional Consultation Facilitator. I became Assistant Principal in 2021 and have truly enjoyed the many roles I have had throughout my time teaching and as an administrator in Hartland.
Once having children, I vividly remember talking with my husband about purchasing a house and the importance of school districts. Without hesitation, we both knew that we could not raise our children anywhere but in the Hartland Consolidated School district. Currently, my two daughters both attend Hartland Schools and are having an amazing school experience.
Teaching kids to believe in themselves, gain confidence to persevere and learn how to problem-solve in real world situations are the main reasons I come to work everyday and truly love my career in education. These skills are so important for students to succeed. I believe teachers and parents need to be the role models in their student’s and children’s lives to teach them how to be successful, functioning adults in the community.

Hello, my name is Tom Ureche and I am the assistant principal at Farms Intermediate School.
I grew up in Genesee County, graduating from Swartz Creek High School. I attended Central Michigan University and completed my postgraduate work at Saginaw Valley State University. I have been fortunate enough to work in a variety of grades throughout my career in education. I have taught all grades K-12. I began my administrative career as a 7th through 12th grade principal. For the past five years, I was an assistant principal at Hartland High School.
I am married to my wife Jamie, who is a second grade teacher. We have two wonderful children and a dog. In our free time you will find us attending all of our kids sporting events, traveling to new places, and enjoying time on the lake.
I am excited to work with Mrs. Briskey, the Farms staff, and your children, to ensure they have the best year they can. It is an honor to work in this community and with your families.
